An absolute gem at Freehold Mall! I had an amazing experience at Marmara, located across from Old Navy in the Freehold Mall. I’ve been coming here since they first opened. I can’t say enough about how delicious their food is. My favorite visit so far was last night. I had no idea they had entertainment. What a fun ... Friday night out. The atmosphere was warm and lively, and the belly dancer entertainment made the evening extra special! It’s BYOB, which is a great bonus. We started with the Shepherd Salad with feta, Labne, and Spicy Ezme, all served with their complimentary balloon bread and a delicious olive tapenade — such a great start to the meal. For the main course, the Chicken Adana and Turkish Ravioli were both bursting with flavor — perfectly seasoned and not overwhelming, just truly delicious. I finished with a cappuccino and crème brûlée, my favorite dessert combination, and it was the perfect ending to a fantastic night. I stopped in this restaurant to get appetizers and when I arrived I parked in the mall lot. I walked into a really nice restaurant! I was greeted and sat and served by the manager and he was nice. This was our first time dining here. We reserved a table for 6, celebrating my 60th birthday. Great atmosphere and very accommodating with any requests. Our waiter, Bogukan was very pleasant and attentive to our table. The food he recommended was delicious. We ordered the appetizer sampler with different types of dips ... and spreads. So many different flavors and spices to explore. It went great with the hot pita type bread which they brought to our table. I had the lamb shank dinner. Everyone was also happy with their meals as well. Dessert was brought out with the staff singing happy birthday. 🎉🎂 We had the cold baklava and chocolate mousse cake. Today my mother and I visited Marmara Mediterranean Cuisine for the first time. A very nice place. Everything we ordered was delicious. I known this place for along time but never had a chance to visit until today. I came to mall with intention of stopping by. I search the location on Google map inside the mall map took me to the entrance door so even if you decide last minute when you are shopping inside the mall you will be able to follow Map to ... find it. We entered and ask to host to sat us the table we asked for they didn't mind taking us to our liking had no problems. Big detailed menu and traditional as well as some ither dishes such. We chose 2 appetizers acili ezme and labne. Just in a minute balloon pide and olives in olive oil served that was complimentary since we were hungry before finished the bread they brought another one Turkish generosity as well as hospitality know in the whole world. 😀 Food lahmacun and iskender we call doner on the top of pieces of pride and tomatoes sauce topped with melted butter and yogurt on the side. Staff was very attentive manager all kind generous perfect host Food was delicious well prepared doner was made from slice solid meat not from chopped meat. We call yaprak doner which how doner should be made. Meat is very thinly slice from solid marinated over night wait to be tender and placed on to the metal tall skewer and cooked. Appetizers were delicious spicy ezme and labne was a great choice together for those who can't have spicy yet would love to labne blends with spice and you don't feel the spice yet taste compliments eachother makes it easier for everyone to be able to taste both flavors. We were full coudnt try the most famous turkish dessert baklava yet again staff and restaurants hospitality would let us go at least having a again world famous Turkish coffee of course would have been an insult to host if we rejected to acoffee. Love this restaurant from the delicious food to the delightful servers. The atmosphere is beautiful with the most comfy seats! And it’s BYOB too. Highly recommend the branzino that is filleted table side and the kunefe for dessert. Yum!
